Second Life
i just tried this out
its pretty cool
you make your avatar and you can walk around
and do all kinda of crazy things go try it for yourself LOOL

having a little fly around.
you can shoot missiles, interact with people,
kind of like sims you can make money, recycle.good little social application.
As well as fun and social, i believe it could be used in education too, I believe lecturers could hold lectures on there and student can attend, i believe it would be a great idea. tables, boards can all be found on second life classroom can be created i mean why not. I wouldn't be surprised if it was put into action in a year or so.
